Hello friends! I haven't updated for about a year. I have lots of new work to post up

I added more of my older work into the color category along with one into the sketches.
I also added a my old demo reel which is hosted on another site for comments.

I entered into CG Talk's "The Journey Begins Challenge" and posted my first concept
sketches. I hope to do well and to put at least an half an hour into my painting a day. My
goal at the end is to have a really nice painting and to have a lot of fun. I also want to put
a tutorial up too so this is a good opportunity for me to save works in progress so I could
write one for friends and anyone else that is interested in how I go about painting.

I got on "Art of the Month" at Hmongartists.net under the section of "HA Art Watch"

I saw Howl's Moving Castle by the legendary grandmaster, director/animator, Hayao Miyazaki.
What a great film that takes us on a wonderful adventure of love. The film deals with many
life issues that we all face like insecurities, the feeling of wanting to be loved, and happiness. I
think that Studio Ghibli did such a wonderful job on all of the characters and especially
on portraying how every character reacts differently to the challenges that faced them.
The characters were so deep and rich and it was very easy to identify with them. I really
liked Howl's Moving Castle and can say that it's my favorite of Miyazaki's films so far.
If you haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle, I suggest you go rent it and grab some popcorn!

The art was great and got me pumped to do some painting. Studio Ghibli's art is a big
influence on my style and you can kind of see it in some of my background paintings.
I hope to purchase their art books soon.

I finally have my site up and running. It will take some time before it looks well put together.
I started a new painting and am trying to get the skin tones down with out having them
look plasitcky. It's also time to decide what style I am going to keep loyal to. There are
just so many different styles that I am interested in.
